How did my Kankakee County school do on the 2026 Illinois School Report Card?

Each year, the Illinois State Board of Education grades schools across the state in how they compare to their peers. The rankings – exemplary, approaching exemplary, commendable, and developing – are a change from last year. Previously, schools were ranked in comparison to each other, so the top 10% of schools were deemed exemplary and the bottom 5% comprehensive. Now, the Illinois State Board of Education judges each school against fixed statewide criteria. Ratings are based mainly on proficiency, growth, and, for high schools, graduation rate. A school where any student group is rated comprehensive can be rated no higher than commendable.Search below to see how your school did this year and last.
